Shady Lanes Project

In 2017, I began planting out the verge in front of my house. My motivation was simple – I enjoy gardening but dislike mowing. I discovered that the verge was a special place that nurtured conversations as well as plants.

Building collaborations in the burbs

The Shady Lanes Project helps changemakers build diverse collaborations to transform our streets. If we can learn to collaborate on that hyperlocal commons, we can use the same skills and methods on the larger, global commons. We learn by doing.
